AQHA Halter ROM/AQHA Champion Sire
Foaled in 1954, Hank Weiscamp considered Skipper's King to be the best son of Skipper W. Hank says, "I named him Skipper's King because that's just what he was -- the king of the Skippers. That's all there was to it." ["The Hank Weiscamp Story", Frank Holmes (Publishers Press, 1996)]
Skipper's King sired 8 AQHA Champions as well as several superior halter horses and top ten world champions.
Sired by Skipper W and foaled in 1950, Skipperette was full sister to Skipper's King. During her show career Skipperette stood Grand Champion many times. Skipperette and Skipper's King were rarely defeated in the show ring. The photo above shows the pair winning the produce-of-dam class at the 1958 Denver National Western Stock Show. These classes were very popular at that time. As a broodmare Skipperette produced AQHA Champions and several superior halter horses.

A daughter of Skipper's King, foaled in 1958. In a 3-year show career she earned 71 halter and 64 performance points. She was an AQHA Champion with a superior in both halter and reining. In 1962 she was the High-Point All-Around horse for the Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Assoociation.

Skippa String was a sorrel stallion foaled in 1958. He was the first in a ling line of top horses bred by Weiscamp through the use of speed-bred outcross stallions. The photo above shows Skippa String after winning a race in 1962. He is the sire of several AQHA CHampions, AAA Race horses and superior halter horses.
Depth Charge
AQHA Champion Sire
Once owned by Audie Murphy, Depth Charge retired from Thoroughbred racing after winning $75,000 in the 1940's (most of it in Mexico). In the Thoroughbred world he was the leading sire of 2 year-old winners in 1953. Depth Charge is the son of Bold Venture who was winner of the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, unbeaten at 3 years and the only Kentucky Derby winner to sire more than one Kentucky Derby winner. Depth Charge's dam, Quickly, is also the dam of Triple Crown winner Count Fleet.
In the Quarter Horse world, he sired 80 QH racing ROM earners, 3 AQHA Champions, a leading money earner (Tiny Charger) and 115 race starters. He left lasting imressions on the Quarter Horse industry. In 1991 he was inducted into the the Quarter Horse Hall of Fame.

Bar Mount was a 1956 sorrel stallion out of Question Mount. He sired 7 AQHA Champions and 3 superior halter horses. Six of the AQHA Champions were bred by Weiscamp and three of them were daughters of Skipper W. Bar Mount was also an excellent broodmare sire. His daughters produced 9 AQHA Champions, 9 superior halter horses, 7 superior performance horses, and earners of over 4,000 AQHA show points.
